Farran farm is built on a working dairy and beef farm, nestled in the heart of co. Kerry.Co.Kerry is home to the famous ring of kerry, a 100 mile circle around the iveragh peninsula. Also accessible from farran farm is the dingle peninsula, this peninula stretches to the most westerly point of europe and is a gaeltacht region, where gaelic is the first language used by the local residents. There are many beaches close by, all within 15km are inch strand, rossbeigh and kells. If you golf, you may well know that kerry is the "mecca" for golfers, most local golf courses are dooks golf links (established since the 1800s), killarney golf and fishing club, dunloe, beaufort and killorglin golf clubs. There is also pitch and putt courses, driving ranges and an outdoor activity centre in the area. Farran farm is less than 10 miles from kerry airport and is 1.5 hr drive from cork airport. The renowned tourist town of killarney is the nearest town to the house, within 10 miles. Killarney is home to the famous lakes and muckross house, has a very busy shopping and social scene. Killorglin, the home of puck fair is within 5 miles and tralee is within 12 miles. A visitor will not be short of things to do and scenery to appreciate in this location
